Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is a proactive scheduling strategy where your vessels electric and electronic systems are inspected, serviced, and repaired on a regular basis with the aim of keeping your vessel at a higher state of serviceability and to prevent breakdowns at sea.
Andre, one of the Founders of Andre Marine started his career in the Royal Australian Navy as an Electronics Maintenance Technician... worked to document the maintenance findings ... then managed the maintenance planning... then managed the maintenance team... then the maintenance of all vessels at HMAS Cairns... then maintenance on Submarines. When he left the service, he returned ... Now as a Marine Electronics Maintenance Engineer ... working for companies such as SAAB and KBR, again managing the maintenance packages including configuration management and refit management. His whole life has centred on Planned Preventative Maintenance and Prioritisation of Defects Maintenance.
